The Gardening Volunteers of South Texas is a trusted educational resource for the community since 2002. This non-proft 501(c)(3) organization promotes water conservation, environmental awareness, and sustainable gardening practices. 

Gardopia Gardens is a San Antonio–based 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to growing healthy communities through garden-based learning. Since 2015, Gardopia has empowered schools, businesses, and neighborhoods with hands-on garden programs that promote sustainability, wellness, and environmental stewardship. From building community gardens and teaching composting to supporting local farmers’ markets, Gardopia’s work aligns with global sustainability goals while making a real difference right here in San Antonio. Their very first “gardopia” transformed a once-abandoned Eastside lot into a thriving space where neighbors now grow food—and community—together.

Founded in 1980, the San Antonio Food Bank serves one of the largest and most diverse service areas in Southwest Texas. Our mission extends beyond providing food for today — we are dedicated to empowering our neighbors with the resources, education, and support they need to achieve long-term self-sufficiency. Through community partnerships and innovative programs, we work to combat hunger while fostering stability and independence for individuals and families in need.
